Enterprise Automation/Malcolm-Racing claims first victory of season
The Enterprise Automation/Malcolm-Racing Nissan finishes 1st in class on Saturday at the NASA Southern California Regional event at Buttonwillow Raceway in Buttonwillow, CA. Unfortunately, the team failed to finish the event due to a mechanical failure and was unable to compete in Sunday's race. Enterprise Automation to furnish IDI DuPont with Controls on a Chlorine Dioxide Generator
IDI DuPont has entrusted Enterprise Automation to automate their latest generation MGFP Chlorine Dioxide Generator. Project scope includes preparing functional control specifications, control software development, fabrication and assembly of I/O panels and factory acceptance tests at IDI DuPont's facility in Rhode Island. Dave Lewis joins Enterprise Automation engineering team
Enterprise Automation is pleased to welcome Dave Lewis to the engineering team. Dave has fifteen years of automation experience in the plastics industry for a wide variety of projects including Automotive, food & beverage, and computer chip manufacturers. Dave has programmed a variety of PLC platforms including Siemens, Modicon, Allen-Bradley, and Barber Coleman. He also has HMI programming experience utilizing Wonderware InTouch.

Enterprise Automation to automate 5.5 ton liquid O2 and N2 production plants for PCI
Following the successful completion of three 2 ton liquid O2 and N2 production plants, Pacific Consolidated Industries (PCI) has commenced another project with Enterprise Automation, this time to provide automation controls for a 5.5 ton per day liquid O2 and N2 production plant. This control system will utilize Automation Direct PLCs as well as CitectSCADA for the operator interface, data collection, and trending, and will include a CitectSCADA based laptop for remote monitoring.

New chemical treatment systems for Sweetwater Authority
Enterprise Automation continues its successful relationship with Sweetwater Authority with the provision of new controls for the chemical treatment systems at the Robert A Perdue Water Treatment Plant. When completed, the Authority will have replaced most chemical storage tanks, all chemical feed systems, all related PLC panels, and all related PLC controls. The scope for Enterprise Automation includes; new PLC standards for the Unity based Modicon Quantum PLC controls, CitectSCADA supervisory system, design and supply of PLC panels, installation and startup, and training for operations and maintenance staff. Sweetwater Authority owns and operates Loveland Reservoir, Sweetwater Reservoir, a brackish groundwater desalination facility and deep freshwater wells. Water obtained in each of these areas is influenced by the 230-square-mile Sweetwater River Watershed, a land stretching from the Cleveland National Forest to San Diego Bay.

CAC, Inc awards Enterprise Automation with controls upgrade project
Enterprise Automation has been contracted to upgrade the controls on CAC Line 3. The line will be retrofitted with the latest version of Phoenix Contact’s Think and Do, and a CitectSCADA operator interface will be added. Enterprise Automation to Sponsor Malcolm Racing in 2008
Enterprise Automation announced today that it has partnered with Derrick Malcolm, the 2006 NASA Southern California Region Rookie of the Year and 2007 NASA Southern California Regional Performance Touring, for 2008 race season in the company's first major racing sponsorship program.
The sponsorship agreement was inked with Malcolm Racing - owned by Derrick Malcolm - and calls for Derrick Malcolm to continue driving duties. The agreement includes 8 races in NASA's popular Performance Touring Series. The Enterprise Automation/Malcolm-Racing #92 - 1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R will have a paint scheme prominently featuring Enterprise Automation.

Trigen awards Enterprise Automation with chiller monitoring project
Enterprise Automation has been contracted to provide monitoring of a York chiller at Trigen’s Century City facilities. The York chiller will be installed by Johnson Controls, and Enterprise Automation will provide monitoring of chiller information using Wonderware InTouch and InSQL via a Backnet interface. Trigen provides economical and environmentally responsible energy solutions to over 1,200 customers including hospitals, colleges and universities, municipalities, prestigious office towers, renowned hotels, sports arenas, convention centers and residential complexes.

MultiTrode teams with Enterprise Automation
Enterprise Automation has teamed with MultiTrode and their Southern California distributor, MRC Technologies, to provide SCADA development services for the MultiSmart pump station manager. MultiSmart is an innovative product that provides "out of the box" pump control for water and sewer pump stations. It combines ease of use with advanced functionality for up to 9 pumps with open interfaces such as Modbus and DNP3 via serial or Ethernet. Enterprise Automation will provide services to augment small and large MultiSmart installations with either new or existing SCADA systems.

Enterprise Automation has been contracted to upgrade the conveyor controls at Hampton Products Foothill Ranch distribution center. Enterprise Automation will be working directly with FlowStor, a specialist in materials handling solutions, to provide a full service offering to Hampton Products, encompassing controls, electrical and mechanical design and installation. The project will be developed using Phoenix Contact’s Think and Do, and Automation Direct Ethernet based Terminator I/O. The conveyor control system will interface with a SQL based warehouse management system. Hampton Products is a leader in the hardware and lighting industry providing a wide range of residential hardware, lighting and travel security products.

Enterprise Automation completes first phase of controls upgrade for J.R. Simplot Company
Enterprise Automation has successfully completed the installation of an Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC utilizing Flex I/O at J.R. Simplot Company’s Helm fertilizer production facility. The ControlLogix PLC interfaces to a duel redundant CitectSCADA system and also to the existing distributed controllers. As production permits, Enterprise Automation will migrate all existing controls to the new ControlLogix PLC system. The J.R. Simplot Company’s Helm fertilizer production facility is a major supplier of Ammonium Nitrate to the agricultural sector.

Enterprise Automation has contracted to provide Avid Bioservices with documentation, implementation, and testing services in support for the FDA validation of a new SCADA process control system for bioreactor and environmental monitoring. Employee buyout of Enterprise Automation, Inc.
Scott Pickford and Josh Riley completed the purchase of substantially all of the assets of Enterprise Automation, Inc. from Dave Panish on November 20th 2006. The new company will be doing business as Enterprise Automation. The transition of ownership was smooth, with all members of the talented engineering team continuing with the new business, and with no changes in address or contact details. Both Scott Pickford and Josh Riley will continue to be heavily involved with project work. The team wishes Dave Panish much success with his next venture in the solar energy field. Dave Panish founded the company in 1997 and over the past 9 years has grown the company into a highly respected and competent control systems integrator.
